Crabapple Jelly Making (Frankie)

This was an opportunity for Frankie to continue to learn her colors with concrete examples. The crabapples varied in color depending on their ripeness, so she was able to see the colors red, green, yellow, and brown. She was also able to learn what the term “sour” meant, because if you have never had a crabapple before, boy are they sour! Thankfully, once they are reduced down to a boil and the sugar is added, the final product is a delicious sweet jelly that is good on everything!
