After Johnny got all of his wiggles out by chasing butterflies and rolling around in the grass, he was able to sit down and concentrate a bit better.
Johnny was able to spy and identify 5 things that he saw and heard. He asked me for help with spelling some parts of words, but then he tried to spell the rest on his own by phonetic spelling. We were also able to practice his dictation with his speech when we were going over how he spelled certain words.
He is such an active little boy, so I try not to force him to sit down and “work” for too long. If I get a good 5 minutes of solid concentration right now, I am happy!
